From Corporate Life to Crafting Dreams: The Story Behind Rangkriti

From Corporate Life to Crafting Dreams: The Story Behind Rangkriti

Some dreams don’t shout. They wait quietly in the background, gentle, persistent, and patiently shaping who you are.

Rangkriti was one such dream.

For nearly a decade, I built my career as a Product Manager in the corporate world. I loved what I did, solving problems, driving innovation, working with passionate teams, and learning something new every day. I gave it everything I had, wholeheartedly. But even in the most fulfilling moments of my professional journey, there was a small voice within me that longed for something more personal, more rooted.

Textiles, design, handmade art, these things always fascinated me. I was drawn to the richness of Indian craftsmanship, the kind that is created slowly, thoughtfully, with human hands and generational knowledge. Over the years, I found myself naturally helping friends and acquaintances set up their own ventures, offering ideas, helping with branding or positioning, being a sounding board when they needed one. I watched those businesses bloom with pride. And yet, for reasons I couldn't quite explain at the time, I never allowed myself to take that leap.

"Sometimes the dreams we put off the longest are the ones that define us the most."

Then came a moment of pause, a time to reflect, reassess, and ask myself hard questions. Was I truly fulfilled? Was I building something I could call my own? And most importantly, what would it take to finally honor that quiet dream?

That’s when Rangkriti started taking shape, not just as a business idea, but as a deeply personal mission.

I didn’t want to start “just another brand.” I wanted to create something that carried meaning, for me, for the people who make the products, and for the homes that welcome them. After months of research, travel, and conversations with artisans, I was drawn to the weaving community off different regions, regions where heritage and skill are intricately woven into every thread. Their work resonated with everything I wanted Rangkriti to stand for: quality, authenticity, timelessness, and warmth.

Rangkriti, at its core, is about reviving the slow, soulful art of Indian handloom and bringing it into modern homes in a way that feels both comforting and elegant. Every bedsheet we create is handcrafted with intention. Behind every product is a story of the artisan who wove it, of the tradition it carries, and of the love we hope it adds to your space.

This journey has not been without its challenges. Stepping away from a stable career path to follow an untested dream takes courage, vulnerability, and a lot of learning. But every time I see a customer appreciate the texture of our fabric, or hear them say it "feels like home," I’m reminded that I made the right choice.

Rangkriti isn’t just a brand, it’s a return to the values that matter most. It’s my way of honoring creativity, tradition, and the power of small beginnings.

And if you’re here reading this, you’re now part of that story too.

Thank you for believing in mindful living. Thank you for choosing stories over trends. Thank you for choosing Rangkriti.
